Services included in utility billing are water, sewer and garbage. Utility billing is done within the first few days of the month. Residents have until the 15th of the month to make their payment with the finance office. After the 15th there is a $15 late fee. Disconnect notices are sent out after the 15th and have 5 days from the date of the notice to pay their bill. After the 5th day service will be disconnected. If service is disconnected there is a $55 reconnect fee.
Water meters are read via computer so residents do not have to read their own meters or complete payment coupons. Postcards are mailed out with a detachable stub.
Payments can be made several ways. They can be put in the drop box located at city hall, mailed or dropped off at the finance office. We accept Visa, and Mastercard credit or debit cards. We do not accept Discover card payments.
New utility users are required to pay a $200.00 deposit.
Effective January 1, 2024
- Water: $23.48 plus $.00677/gallon
- Wastewater: $26.35 plus $.00235/gallon
- Garbage: $21 plus $1.30 tax and $1.06 surcharge
All utility users must also complete an application for service and submit a $200 deposit with the application. Also, please include a copy of your valid driver's license.
