Utility Billing

Utility billing in Canistota includes water, sewer, and garbage services. Billing is processed during the first few days of each month.

Billing Schedule & Fees

Bills are due by the 15th of each month
A $15 late fee is applied after the 15th
Disconnect notices are sent after the 15th
Customers have 5 days from the notice date to pay
Service will be disconnected after 5 days if unpaid
A $55 reconnect fee applies after disconnection

Drop box at City Hall
Mail
In-person at the Finance Office

Mastercard
(Discover cards are not accepted)

Utility Rates

(Effective January 1, 2024)

Water: $23.48 base + $0.00677 per gallon
Wastewater: $26.35 base + $0.00235 per gallon
Garbage: $21.00 + $1.30 tax + $1.06 surcharge

New Utility Service

All new utility customers must complete an application
A $200 deposit is required with the application
A copy of a valid driver’s license must be included
